Travel is one of the biggest parts of who I am.
Each summer growing up, my family would get in a car and just drive. Our trips weren't counted in days, but instead in states and thousands of miles on the odometer. So many of my most treasured memories take place in states I don't actually quite remember visiting. I remember watching the home videos, taking pictures in front of every National Park's sign, and the photo albums we'd flip through every so often. I begged my parents on these trips, at 5 and 6 and 7 years old, to please let me take some pictures, too. My Barbie Polaroid was my favorite toy to bring on these trips (and still is my favorite camera in my collection!) It starts early, kids.
