When you elope, it should be all about the experience – making sure your wedding day is a reflection of the two of you and your relationship, and that you start your marriage off with a fun, unique adventure! As an elopement photographer, part of my job is making a unique elopement timeline for each couple, which means I’ll give you ideas and things to do on your day.
Here are just a few of the fun adventures you can have at Suncadia Resort!
- Go hiking
- Have a picnic by Cle Elum Lake
- Take a bike ride
- Sled at the resort
- Snowshoe the trails
- Cross country ski or go to one of the nearby ski resorts
- Go ice skating
- Hit the golf course
- Visit the spa
- Swim at the outdoor pool
- Have dinner at one of the restaurants at the resort

Getting Legally Married When You Elope at Suncadia
To make your Suncadia Resort wedding officially official, you’ll need a marriage license! This needs to be obtained at any county clerk’s office in the state of Washington. If you live here, I recommend going to the office closest to home.
If you’re traveling, the Kittitas County office is closest to Suncadia. However, it’s often easier to apply at the King County office in Seattle – they’ll allow you to complete the entire process online and get your marriage license in the mail! After you get your marriage license, there’s a 3 day waiting period, and it expires after 90 days.
To ensure you’re legally married, an officiant and two witnesses will need to sign the marriage license.
