Get In Touch
A unique A-frame cabin is the perfect place to host an elopement! Not only are they adorable, but they also provide a cozy wedding venue whether you’re planning to tie the knot just the two of you, or inviting guests. This post will show you a real A-frame wedding to get you inspired, and give you some tips for planning your own!

Choosing an A-Frame Wedding Venue
Here are some tips for choosing the right A-frame wedding venue for you!

Will You Have Your Ceremony at the A-Frame?
First, decide if your ceremony will actually take place at the cabin. Some couples choose to have their ceremony somewhere else, and use the A-frame to get ready for their elopement ceremony. Either way definitely has its perks, but some cabins will have rules and restrictions about wedding ceremonies – so before you book your A-frame, decide where your ceremony will take place!

Be Honest With Your Hosts
If you’ve decided to host your ceremony at the A-frame, it’s time to start looking for cabins! But before you book, be sure to check if there are any restrictions about wedding ceremonies. Some cabins don’t allow them at all, some will have a limit on the number of guests, and some may be more flexible. It’s important to be honest – you don’t want to get hit with fines and fees later – but don’t hesitate to message hosts and ask if you can host your ceremony there! Tell them that your A-frame wedding is small, and let them know what your plans are. Many hosts are happy to accomodate elopements and intimate weddings, as long as you keep them in the loop, and of course, respect their property.

The Best A-Frame Wedding Venues in Washington
Here in Washington, we’ve got some of the best A-frame wedding venues, especially near Mount Rainier! Here are a few of my favorites, to get you inspired for your elopement day.
That PNW Cabin
The photos you see in this blog post were taken at That PNW Cabin, which is a beautiful little place located in Gold Bar, Washington! I’ve stayed here personally and really enjoyed the cozy atmosphere and personal touches. The owner loves hosting elopements– but there’s an event rate not shown on airbnb. I can help you get in touch with her!
There’s a greenhouse in the back that’s perfect for a lunch setup– especially if you’re eloping in the off-season, when it could be rainy!

Tye River Cabin
One of the most popular A-frame cabins in Washington is Tye Haus. It’s located right outside of Skykomish, tucked in the woods next to the Tye River. It’s cozy but spacious, remote but modern, and it’s pet friendly! There are two other cabins nearby, owned by the same folks – so you can find the perfect A-frame wedding venue for you.
Little Owl Cabin
Another incredible A-frame in Washington is the Little Owl Cabin, built in 1976 but renovated with all the amenities you could need for an elopement or an intimate wedding! It’s close to Mount Rainier National Park, adjacent to National Forest land so you can hike and explore during your stay.

Little Blu A-Frame
Just up the road from the Nisqually entrance to Mount Rainier is the Little Blue A-Frame, an adorable blue cabin surrounded by lush greenery. You’ll feel like you’re in a fairytale at this A-Frame wedding venue, and it’s got everything you need for a cozy stay!
